Electrical Engineer (TS Clearance)
FusionICS is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in mission-critical engineering and IT solutions for federal and defense organizations. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support federal infrastructure and secure facility construction projects, focusing on compliance with DoD, UFC, and NEC standards while overseeing electrical system installations.

Responsibilities
Design, review, and approve electrical drawings and specifications for secure construction projects
Oversee contractor execution of electrical work, ensuring adherence to design, budget, schedule, and safety
Conduct field inspections and troubleshoot electrical system issues
Ensure compliance with NEC, UFC, DoD, and other relevant codes and regulations
Coordinate with architects, civil, and mechanical engineers during planning and implementation phases
Support commissioning, acceptance testing, and red-line/as-built documentation
Interface with federal clients, providing technical input and updates
Participate in meetings, submittal reviews, and RFIs
Maintain configuration control and change management in secure design documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, including design and field work
Strong knowledge of NEC, UFC, and government/federal construction specifications
Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or BIM software
Familiarity with power distribution, grounding, lighting, emergency systems, and controls
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Ability to work safely on active construction sites and wear required PPE
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required
Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance at the necessary level for assigned duties
Preferred
Experience with DoD construction projects, military facilities, or government contracting preferred
Ability to produce sealed/stamped engineering drawings preferred
PE (Professional Engineer) license or EIT with intention to obtain PE
Experience with SCIF/SAPF or high-security electrical systems
Background in commissioning secure DoD/NIC projects or mission-critical infrastructure
Experience with design-build project delivery
