Responsibilities

Design solutions to meet a number of aircraft and carry on equipment requirements
Work closely with multiple engineering disciplines to generate design details, presentations material and drawings
Manage time and schedule of individual tasking and deliverables
Support operations and production members during aircraft modifications, answering questions, and clearly communicating issue with other members of the design team

Required

Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Practical Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools - Solidworks
Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment

Preferred

Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
