Responsibilities

Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines for efficient data collection, processing, and storage
Collaborate with the team to integrate data engineering solutions that enhance security monitoring threat detection capabilities
Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and AI algorithms to improve platform performance and security insights
Participate in the automation of deployment processes, monitoring, and maintenance tasks to ensure high availability and reliability of platforms
Contribute to the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to data processing, platform performance, and security vulnerabilities
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and improvements
Document processes, configurations, and workflows to support knowledge sharing and team efficiency

Required

Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or technical school, with at least 6 months until graduation after end of internship
Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, or related field
The ability to maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Basic understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data management
Exposure to DevOps tools and practices such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail oriented

Preferred

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices
Experience with cybersecurity tools and frameworks
Knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques
Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g. GIT)
