Sales Account Executive

Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients
Listen to and understand client needs providing tailored solutions to meet their marketing goals
Ensure client satisfaction and act as the main point of contact for any client inquiries or concerns
Demonstrate creativity and in-depth knowledge of sales processes, offering innovative ideas for the growth of both clients and the company
Identify and partner with potential advertisers, understanding their business needs and aligning them with the best-fit products from New South Media’s portfolio
Generate leads through market research, networking, and cold calling
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations to secure new clients
Set and meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Monitor and report on sales performance using CRM tools
Create and implement strategies to maximize revenue opportunities
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and our editorial content
Clearly communicate the value of our publications to others when representing the company
Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to create customized advertising and promotional packages
Collaborate with various departments to ensure brand consistency
Participate in company meetings as scheduled or assigned
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the successful execution of ad campaigns. Collect print ready art from clients or assist clients with creative briefs for ad design and then work with our team on design and to obtain client approval
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and client activity reports
Provide market feedback and insights to improve product offerings
Qualification
Required
1+ years of sales experience with a proven track record, preferably in the media or advertising industry
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Strong understanding of print media, digital, and promotional advertising
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven
Proven effectiveness at creating and maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a remote environment, with consistent clear communication with sales team leadership
Ability to travel and meet with prospective clients
Proficiency in CRM software
Willingness to travel and attend industry events as needed
An extensive knowledge and passion for Appalachia and outdoor recreation
Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of each published 'brand' and position them effectively
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively
