Program Chair- Surgical Technology
Athens Technical College is seeking a Surgical Technology Program Chair to oversee the development, administration, and evaluation of the Surgical Technology program. The role involves managing curriculum development, student recruitment, faculty development, and ensuring program accreditation.

Responsibilities
Overseeing the development, administration, and evaluation of the Surgical Technology program
Manage and direct programmatic curriculum development
Manage and maintain student enrollment and recruitment
Assessment and improvement of student learning outcomes
Advising students
Managing faculty development
Managing fiscal and physical resources
Development of external relationships
Curriculum implementation and evaluation
Fulfill responsibilities related to maintenance of full accreditation
Perform other work duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Have documented education or experience in instructional methodology, curriculum, design and program planning
A graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency
Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
Five (5) years of experience, either in operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past ten (10) years
Preferred
Master's degree
Experience teaching at a postsecondary level
