The Fire Protection Project Manager will oversee multiple fire protection installation projects, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards while collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities
Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of fire protection projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments, using tools like Microsoft Project or equivalent software
Manage and supervise concurrent installations at different locations, coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless progress. Conduct regular site visits to monitor work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications
Oversee installations involving clean agent suppression systems, wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems, and fire alarm/detection systems. Ensure all work meets NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 13 for sprinklers, NFPA 72 for alarms, NFPA 2001 for clean agents) and local building codes
Track and control project costs, including manhours, manufactured equipment, and installation materials. Prepare accurate cost estimates, monitor variances, and implement corrective actions to stay within budget. Generate monthly progress reports on financial performance
Supervise project teams, including assigning tasks, providing mentorship, and resolving conflicts. Foster strong working relationships with internal designers, administrative support staff, manufacturer engineers, and external client personnel to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration
Ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and ethical standards. Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to verify system integrity and performance. Address any deficiencies promptly while upholding the highest levels of integrity in reporting and decision-making
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs). Lead project meetings, provide status updates, and manage change orders to align with client expectations
Identify potential risks early, such as supply chain delays or site-specific challenges, and develop contingency plans. Resolve issues on-site or through escalation, always prioritizing ethical solutions that maintain project momentum
Maintain comprehensive project records, including submittals, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranties. Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, client training, and handover
Qualification
Required
Experience in managing fire protection installation projects, specifically in clean agent suppression, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems
Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to manage multiple installations across various sites
Ability to maintain strict budget controls, timelines, and quality standards
Willingness to commit extended hours, including up to 80-hour work weeks during peak project phases
Proficiency in project planning and execution, including developing detailed project plans using tools like Microsoft Project or equivalent software
Experience in supervising multiple sites and coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and vendors
Knowledge of NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 13 for sprinklers, NFPA 72 for alarms, NFPA 2001 for clean agents) and local building codes
Experience in budget and cost management, including tracking project costs and preparing accurate cost estimates
Ability to supervise project teams, assign tasks, provide mentorship, and resolve conflicts

Experience in client and stakeholder engagement, including serving as the primary point of contact for clients and managing project meetings
