In this role, you will work directly with students with disabilities, supporting their individualized learning and development in both educational and community settings.

Responsibilities

In cooperation with Special Education teachers, plan and implement classroom-related activities

Supervise students during classroom and school-based activities

Work collaboratively with team members to implement IEP objectives

Maintain the appearance and organization of the classroom

Record behavioral progress in individual tracking logs on a daily basis

Understand and implement the school’s behavior management program

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to physically intervene in instances of behavior that may jeopardize the safety of students and staff

Ambulatory ability sufficient to meet physical demands of the role
