Responsibilities
Supervise multiple client services teams across a variety of engagements, overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of tax projects in diverse industries
Provide clients with innovative tax planning, compliance, and consulting solutions, while also leading the design and implementation of tailored tax strategies
Participate in business development activities and other professional industry or community events to enhance the firm’s marketing efforts
Managing, developing, training, and mentoring staff on tax projects and assessing performance for engagement and year-end reviews
Conducting review of complicated or complex tax returns prepared by staff and making recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities
Researching and consulting on various tax matters
Maintaining a good working relationship with clients and working effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform tax services
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, LLM in Taxation or JD required
Minimum 8 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience
JD/active law license required
Strong working knowledge of broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting including state and local income taxes, and taxation of international activity
Knowledge using ProSystem Tax software
Exceptional client service, communication skills, and presentation skills
Strong teamwork and analytical skills with attention to detail
Preferred
Experience in public accounting environment is preferred
