Responsibilities

Inspecting, servicing, maintaining, testing and storing aerospace ground service vehicles and equipment to support aircraft flight and maintenance operations
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aerospace ground and service equipment (AGE)
Inspecting, testing, and operating AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation
Diagnosing mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions
Removing, disassembling, repairing, cleaning, treating for corrosion, assembling, and re-installing AGE accessories and components
Providing dispatch services for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations
Preparing AGE for storage and mobility deployment

Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Exposure to technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Basic understanding technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Basic understanding of hardware and soldering techniques, technical data and everyday tools
Knowledge of the principles of electronics, refrigeration, hydraulics, power generation, reciprocating engines (gasoline and diesel), gas turbine engines, pneumatics and heating
Some skills in servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on motor and engine-driven generator sets, air conditioners, hydraulic test stands, air compressors, bomb lifts, heaters and other similar support equipment
This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment

Preferred

Formal Technical training FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
