Cost Accounting Manager
Thomas Edwards Group Inc. is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance their cost accounting functions. The role involves developing standard costs, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and conducting variance analysis to provide insights for financial decision-making.

Responsibilities
Standard Costing: Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead; lead annual cost roll and updates
ERP & Transactions: Monitor purchasing, production, and inventory flows; resolve system issues with IT and Operations
Inventory Valuation: Ensure accurate valuation under US GAAP; reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; support audits and cycle counts
Variance Analysis: Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances; provide actionable insights and margin analysis
Financial Close: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements; assist with audits and tax compliance
Compliance: Manage state/local tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
4 - 7+ years of progressive cost accounting experience
Manufacturing or Food Manufacturing a must
Preferred
CPA highly preferred
JDE Experience is nice to have
