Responsibilities

Assist underwriters in evaluating new and renewal submissions, including reviewing insurance applications, loss runs, and property evaluations

Support the organization and maintenance of underwriting files and documentation

Participate in pre-bind and post-bind activities such as policy issuance, endorsements, and facultative reinsurance coordination

Attend underwriting meetings and job shadow sessions to observe real-time decision-making and operational workflows

Collaborate with underwriting services specialists to understand policy maintenance, binder issuance, and incident reporting processes

Required

Actively completing area of study in Risk Management and Insurance, Engineering, or related program

Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher

College level - current Junior, or Senior student, with graduation dates ranging from May 2026 – December 2027

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability and desire to attend networking and client facing events

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables

Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner

Team player who collaborates effectively

Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment
