AMT Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join their growing Transportation team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop a career in transportation engineering while supporting various projects and collaborating with other offices.

Responsibilities

Support a variety of projects which may involve collection of data, existing condition and alternative analysis evaluation for engineering reports

Development of horizontal and vertical alignments, performing cross-section and super-elevation design, roadway modeling, development of transportation infrastructure plans, computing quantity takeoffs

Qualification

BS in Civil EngineeringEngineering-in-Training CertificationAutodesk AutoCAD/Civil3DBentley Microstation/InRoadsCivil engineering design knowledgeConstruction surveying conceptsMS Office proficiencyPositive working relationshipsOral communication skillsWritten communication skills

Required

BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution

Engineering-in-Training Certification (or ability to obtain in 6-12 months) required

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred

Prior internship or work experience preferred, experience with Municipal or State/US Department of Transportation projects a plus

Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or Bentley Microstation/InRoads or Open Roads is preferred

Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction surveying concepts preferred

Experience with MS Office products including Word and Excel
