Responsibilities
Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS-DB, DB2, VSAM, and MQ
Utilize debugging tools such as Xpeditor to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Work with tools like File Aid, Endevor, CA-7, NDM, METS, and S-FTP for application support and maintenance
Implement stored procedures and optimize system performance
Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure design consistency across systems
Apply best practices for coding standards and system integration
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate them into development processes
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
Qualification
Required
10+ years of mainframe application development experience with COBOL
10+ years of experience in CICS, IMS-DB, DB2, VSAM, and MQ
Proficiency with debugging tools such as Xpeditor
Familiarity with File Aid, Endevor, CA-7, NDM, METS, S-FTP, XML, CLIST, and REXX
Strong understanding of architecture and design principles across systems
Working proficiency in development toolsets and best practices
Ability to work effectively in large, collaborative teams
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and standards
Preferred
Experience with Java, XML, and JSON
Hands-on experience with stored procedures and performance optimization
Exposure to enterprise-level infrastructure and operations
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex environments
