Responsibilities

Implement an integrated plan for product development including coordinating activities throughout the product lifecycle from design concept phase to release
Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field-based employees on technical matters, as needed
Review, manage, proactively challenge, and control status of project programs and budgets
Manage schedules and prepare status reports
Guide and lead teams in achieving the goals of the program including issue identification, resolution and contingency planning

Required

Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study
Typically, 8+ years of progressive technical experience
Knowledge of engineering principles and practice
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team
Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, integration
Apply systems engineering principles, with an emphasis on software systems engineering, to enhance product development and integration
Ability to work within Agile project frameworks, leveraging Scrum practices to effectively collaborate with engineers and contribute to project success
This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment

Preferred

Typically 2-4 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience
Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team and communicating with program management and customers
Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and schedule management
Past history of leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternative
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions and test procedure
Experience or certification in INCOSE standard
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Previous experience with software requirements derivation
Experience with applying MOSA principles to software systems
Experience leading teams within a SAFe Agile environment, including coordinating with cross-functional teams and driving alignment across Agile Release Trains
