Research Lab Tech Intermediate
The University of Michigan's Kaczorowski lab is seeking a Research Lab Technician Intermediate to assist in various projects related to neurodegenerative diseases. The role involves animal handling, molecular biology techniques, and supervision of undergraduate research assistants while maintaining lab organization and conducting experiments.

Responsibilities
Participate in animal handling, animal behavior assays, mouse genotyping, immunohistochemistry, and assisting with the management of transgenic mouse colonies
Help maintain lab organization and record all information, daily, in an official electronic laboratory notebook
Assist with experiments that involve mouse handling and animal behavior assays
Maintain organization of mouse colonies, including supervision of genotyping and genetic crosses
Assist with tissue dissection
Participate in periodic research discussions
Present data and plans for new experiments during laboratory meetings
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and achieve short- and long-range plans
Ensure functionality and maintenance of instrumentation
Additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
2-3 years of experience in a related field
Preferred
Mouse Handling And Husbandry Skills Preferred (training Is Provided)
