Minimum 15+ years in IT experience

Minimum 6 years in Application Architecture/Modernization

Hands-on portfolio assessment & rationalization (6R: rehost, replatform, refactor, rearchitect, replace, retire)

Deep experience modernizing legacy stacks (Java/.NET, Oracle/SQL Server, packaged apps; mainframe a plus)

Azure-first designs using AKS/App Service/Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus/Event Grid, Logic Apps, Key Vault

CI/CD & IaC (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; Terraform/Bicep), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/Helm)

Data modernization (Azure SQL MI, DMS, Cosmos DB; exposure to Synapse/Data Factory preferred)

Tools: Azure Migrate, App Service Migration Assistant, DMS, CAST Highlight, AppDynamics

Security-by-design, API-first and event-driven patterns, domain-driven design

Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, TOGAF
