Responsibilities
Visually inspect or check parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments
Check dimensions and finishes against sketches, blueprints, manufacturing planning and specifications
Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, weld schedules, drawings and documents
Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures
Perform detailed first article inspections
Train others
Recommend modifications to inspection procedures
Requires certification and stamp as Quality Assurance Inspector
Work under limited oversight
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Requires fundamental knowledge of inspection procedures and tools
Capable of inspecting a broad variety of parts
Requires a general knowledge of company specific manufacturing processes
Reads and understands manufacturing planning, sketches, blueprints, and specifications as necessary to perform the job function
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); knows where to find this information at Exotic, and asks for help when necessary
Requires certification and stamp as Quality Assurance Inspector
