Responsibilities

Design and oversee scalable, secure, and reliable carrier API integrations (REST, SOAP, EDI, ACORD, proprietary carrier systems)

Define patterns, frameworks, and reusable services to accelerate onboarding of new carriers and lines of business

Develop AI/ML pipelines to extract, normalize, and map submission and policy data (ACORD forms, loss runs, SOVs, proposals)

Collaborate with Data Science/AI teams to embed LLMs and vector search into underwriting workflows

Evaluate emerging AI models and frameworks to ensure practical, cost-efficient adoption

Serve as a hands-on technical leader, writing high-quality code and setting engineering best practices

Mentor senior engineers on AI, system integration, and distributed architectures

Partner with Product, Carrier Relations, and Operations to align integration roadmaps with business goals

Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across the integration and AI pipelines

Collaborate with DevOps on AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, Bedrock, Step Functions, API Gateway)

Ensure compliance with data security, SOC2, and industry standards
