Senior Club Accountant

They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee club financial operations and support their commitment to excellence, accuracy, and strong financial stewardship.

Responsibilities
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers
Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits
Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures
Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation
Processing member inquiries as required
Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Review ledgers to ensure proper coding of invoices
Review and reconcile AP/AR ledgers
Ensure sale taxes are filed timely with the appropriate agencies
Responsible for month-end close for multiple entities, including both club and non-club operations
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Experienced professional with a private club accounting background
Ability to apply accounting principles to analyze financial information
Experience in preparing financial reports
Ability to compile and analyze financial information
Experience in performing statistical analyses to determine trends and estimates
Ability to analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
Experience in preparing balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports
Ability to determine proper handling of financial transactions
Experience in monitoring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
Ability to review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries
Experience in installing, modifying, documenting, and coordinating accounting systems
Ability to conduct studies and submit recommendations for improving accounting operations
Experience in processing member inquiries
Ability to reconcile accounts monthly
Experience in reviewing ledgers for proper coding of invoices
Experience in reviewing and reconciling AP/AR ledgers
Ability to ensure sales taxes are filed timely
Experience in month-end close for multiple entities
