The role involves overseeing technical operations for various events, supervising student employees, and managing technical equipment and scheduling.

Responsibilities
The Technical Specialist oversees technical operations and maintenance for University Events, including—but not limited to—lighting, staging, sound, and video support for the following: Conference Center events, Music Department performances, University and external productions, including but not limited to: Daily Chapel, Graduation, Various campus events, Other duties as assigned
Supervise and support student employees assisting with technical operations
Coordinate student employee schedules to align with event requirements and academic commitments
Coordinate technical event scheduling using University software systems
Coordinate chapel-related technical scheduling and staffing as needed
Oversee technical equipment, systems, and procedures for all university venues
Participation in the following events may be negotiated and includes an additional stipend: Freshman Fanfare, Musicals, Spring Sing, Cabaret
Qualification
Required
Commitment to serving in a Christian environment that supports the mission and ideals of a Kingdom University
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and in a leadership role
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to task completion
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively support university events
Effective time management and organizational skills
Physical ability to: Lift at least 50 lbs, Climb ladders, Operate lifts as required
Working knowledge of lighting, sound, and video systems
Willingness and desire to learn
