Responsibilities

Commissioning & Installation: Interpret mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering drawings. Install and commission automated equipment, including assembly systems, robotic cells, conveyors, and custom material-handling solutions. Provide on-site technical support during start-up, acceptance testing, and handover
Service & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues on automation systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotics, servo-driven systems, conveyors, and custom tooling. Troubleshoot PLC-, motion-, and safety-system faults to restore equipment to full operation
Customer Support & Training: Train customer maintenance teams on routine service tasks, safety procedures, and system operation. Maintain ongoing communication with customer contacts to ensure timely issue resolution and follow-up. Support customers in identifying opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, or service contracts
Documentation & Administration: Prepare service reports, commissioning documentation, and maintenance records in alignment with workflows. Manage spare parts usage, ordering, and lead times to ensure timely service delivery
Team & Organizational Support: Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the service organization. Contribute to local and international service operations as needed

Required

Completed training or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical engineering-related field is preferred
3+ years of Field Service, maintenance, or automation support experience (preferably in special-purpose machinery or robotics)
Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems, including servo drives, pneumatics, and automation components
Experience troubleshooting automated machinery, robot systems, or motion-control equipment
Familiarity with PLC controls (Siemens preferred); programming or debugging experience is a plus
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and pneumatic diagrams
Strong communication and customer-facing skills with a solution-driven mindset
Proficiency with standard software tools (MS Office, service reporting systems)
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
