Responsibilities

Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties
Assist with reviewing protocol amendments to determine if budget and billing compliance form changes are required and revise as needed
In conjunction with the Business Operations Unit, provide support with clinical trial finances, and ensure that all activities occur in compliance with appropriate regulations and contractual obligations
Serves as a point of contact for internal stakeholders requesting study documentation, billing grids, or budget-related confirmations
Acts as a liaison with Principal Investigators, research staff, and other departments to support the development of timely and accurate billing plans and clinical trial budgets
Assists with drafting Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCA) for Principal Investigator and study team review
Updates final budgets in the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and ensures accuracy and completeness of the record
Requests necessary quotes and collects initial essential documents required to support clinical trial budget development and negotiations
Attends and participates in meetings and/or committees, as required
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, allied health or equivalent in a related discipline
0-1 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills
Must be able to work under the direction of supervision
Ability to operate research related equipment
Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook
Familiar with Internet applications
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure

Preferred

Bachelors Degree in business
At least 1-year experience in Cancer Center clinical research administration
Direct experience with clinical trials budgeting preferred
Knowledge of Cancer Clinical Trials Protocols and procedures as it relates to conducting clinical trials
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
