Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the overall strategy, technical roadmap, and architectural standards for automation and observability
Create and implement end-to-end automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash
Build and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and pipelines to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
Partner with teams to identify automation opportunities and design solutions aligned with business needs
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and engineering teams on automation best practices
Utilize Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement
Create and maintain technical documentation, dashboards, and reports to deliver insights on system performance and automation effectiveness
Explore opportunities to leverage AI/ML technologies to enhance automation and observability solutions
Qualification
Required
Observability expertise: strong hands‐on experience with Splunk and Prometheus
Scripting proficiency: shell, Python, AWS, Prometheus, Terraform; ability to deploy and manage these tools
Architectural exposure: recent experience in solution or systems architecture
Hands‐on technical background: not just oversight, but practical implementation experience
Roadmap confidence: able to design, communicate, and execute technical roadmaps
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience: 10+ years in software architecture, solution design, or technical leadership, with proven expertise in automation and observability
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash
Cloud & Observability: Strong understanding of AWS, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, and automation technologies
Problem-Solving: Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues
Continuous Delivery: Familiarity with Harness for CI/CD and deployment
Preferred
AI/ML Expertise: Experience with AI/ML frameworks, machine learning algorithms, NLP, predictive analytics, and prompt engineering
Python Proficiency: Advanced hands-on Python development experience
Cloud-Native Systems: Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
Influence & Leadership: Ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams
CI/CD & Testing: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation testing frameworks
Security Practices: Understanding of 'Shift-left' and 'Shift-right' security approaches, including SAST, SCA, secrets detection, RASP, and chaos engineering
