Responsibilities
Serve on program teams to manage the building of new product tooling
Develop and maintain tool standards
Assist maintenance in tool preventative maintenance
Manage changes to tools
Interface with manufacturing to resolve processing issues through potential tool changes
Research alternative tooling sources for better cost, quality, and delivery
Maintain tool drawings and tool identification records
Responsible for approving tool design and materials
May be required to perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Manage and track complete timing of tool build compared to a master program timing schedule
Manage all costs for initial builds and audit any change cost to assure lowest costs
Work closely with the Process Specialist during tool tryouts to make sure the tool functions efficiently
Identify critical spare components, establish inventory and replenish system
Qualification
Required
The Toolroom Supervisor will source new product tooling
Provide tool specifications
Follow-up and manage the building of new tools
Follow-up and manage changes to new or existing tooling
Facilitate the preventative maintenance of existing tooling
Manage overall maintenance costs
Audit tool sources to maintain the lowest cost available
Serve on program teams to manage the building of new product tooling
