Responsibilities

Work closely with our engineering team in an electronics prototype development laboratory
Support research and development, engineering development and transition-to-production efforts on a wide variety of product types
Duties include building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic circuit boards; test setups; cables; assemblies; and various assembly and test fixtures
Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as circuit and system performance, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data
Use personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports
May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis

Required

6 years of electronics experience
Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and have basic computer skills
Able to read schematics and drawings, follow written and oral instructions, communicate effectively
Basic soldering skills and ability to earn IPC J-STD-001 certification with provided training
Ability to safely use basic hand tools and shop equipment
Candidate must have the ability to acquire a Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen and provide proof of citizenship
Able to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred

Associate Degree or 2 year certificate in electronics technology, or equivalent education
Proficiency with electronics fundamentals, testing, and troubleshooting
Strong capabilities in fundamental and advanced RF and microwave concepts and measurement techniques
Proficiency in the use of general lab equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, analyzers, and various meters
High skill level soldering electronic assemblies
Ability to create prototype electrical boards based on engineering schematics
