Med Surg RN – Full-Time Nights (Float Team)

Responsibilities
Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver individualized nursing care using the nursing process
Apply evidence-based practice and ensure safe, culturally competent care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across multiple campuses and care units
Encourage a respectful, supportive environment that promotes teamwork and staff retention

Complete required competencies and ongoing professional education
Serve as a preceptor or mentor to new nurses, students, or peers

Promote and engage in evidence-based practice, quality initiatives, and nursing research
Participate in value analysis and evaluation of clinical tools and care resources
Assist with accreditation readiness and safety compliance efforts
Plan effectively across the full continuum of patient care
Participate in developing and refining protocols and procedures
Utilize resources efficiently while supporting patient flow and care transitions
Contribute to reducing readmissions, avoidable days, and adverse events
Qualification

Experience with computer data entry required
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
Active RN License (Single-State or Compact)
BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Minimum 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience required
Preferred
Experience with Epic and 3M systems preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
