Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Perform schematic capture and support layout of digital hardware designs
Design hardware incorporating FPGAs and high-speed memory interfaces including DDR3, DDR4, and LPDDR4
Design and support digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and SDIO
Define layout constraints and support PCB/PWB layout activities
Support hardware bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting in lab environments
Utilize laboratory test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related tools
Support design reviews, documentation, and lifecycle engineering activities
Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field
Minimum of 5 years of relevant job-related experience
OR Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant job-related experience
U.S. citizenship required

Preferred

Experience with schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems
Experience designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens Xpedition or similar EDA tools
Knowledge of constraint definition and signal integrity / power integrity analysis
Understanding of hardware development processes including design for manufacturing and design for test
Experience with advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective cross-disciplinary communication and collaboration skills
Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
