Responsibilities

Lead project planning, scheduling, and preparation to ensure projects start on time and are resourced effectively
Build and maintain realistic schedules with trade and crew commitments
Ensure materials are ready on time and anticipate project needs
Manage execution by holding subs, vendors, and crews accountable for quality, budget, and deadlines
Coordinate closely with design and operations teams to ensure seamless handoffs and proactive issue resolution
Lead inspections with DC authorities and ensure all compliance standards are met
Serve as the primary client contact, setting expectations early, providing updates, and ensuring a positive experience throughout construction
Uphold Blue Star's reputation by modeling professionalism, communication, and respect in all interactions

Required

5+ years of experience in residential construction project management (high-end/luxury preferred)
Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and full-cycle home building operations
Knowledge of Washington, D.C. zoning laws, codes, and permitting processes
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and build trust with clients and trade partners
Experience managing and leading building inspections with local authorities
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and adapt
A mindset of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
