Responsibilities
Build and manage a high-performance team including Portfolio Managers, Procurement Managers, and Category Leads
Develop strategic portfolio and category plans to generate cost savings, optimize diversity spending, and enhance total cost of ownership
Ensure governance of the contract approval process from creation through award
Oversee contract spend across multiple spend categories in multiple LOBs
Develop short- and long-term strategies for all spend categories within portfolio
Lead complex cross-functional teams to execute strategic sourcing initiatives
Conduct spend analysis, needs assessment, benchmarking, and business case development
Lead development and execution of negotiation strategies
Approve purchase orders and contracts ranging from $500,000 to $10 million
Monitor and maximize customer satisfaction using standardized service level agreements
Establish service level agreements to hold suppliers accountable for performance
Manage continuous improvement-based supplier relationships for mutual benefit
Develop work processes and procedures aligned to organizational requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (one year of experience for every year of college)
8 years of sourcing or related industry experience
Preferred
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
Six Sigma, CPSM, or other relevant certification
Strategic sourcing and project management experience
Experience in the utility industry preferred
SAP/SRM proficiency desired
Minimum 8 years of supervisory experience
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and relationship management skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and resolve complex problems
