Responsibilities
Architect frameworks and infrastructure for GenAI products such as search interfaces, bots, and summarizers
Develop and implement optimization techniques to ensure model performance meets product goals
Partner closely with product and engineering leadership to align on the technical roadmap
Guide engineering teams on effective usage of LLM capabilities in production
Establish protocols for building fair, accountable, and transparent LLM-based systems
Lead efforts to identify, mitigate, and monitor risks associated with bias or model failures
Implement feedback loops, monitoring systems, and correction pipelines to ensure model safety
Design and oversee curation of high-quality datasets for training product-specific LLMs
Build data science pipelines covering feature generation, visualization, model evaluation, and documentation
Develop reusable frameworks and ways of working to accelerate delivery
Communicate clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders across formats
Contribute research and analysis to academic conferences and journals
Identify emerging trends in data science, ML, and AI to drive innovation
Evaluate new tools, technologies, and methods to improve team performance and value delivery
Deeply analyze advancements in large language models, including capabilities, limitations, and best practices
Develop methods to enhance language understanding and model training
Mentor junior data scientists in state-of-the-art GenAI techniques
Lead initiatives that set the technical direction for accelerating product impact through cutting-edge LLM innovations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Total Experience: 10–15 years
Minimum 3 years building machine learning models with demonstrable business impact
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Python experience
Minimum 3 years delivering production NLP and deep learning models using PyTorch or TensorFlow
Experience working with LLM architectures such as BERT, GPT-3, etc
Experience operationalizing end-to-end ML applications
Experience working on cloud platforms, specifically AWS
Advanced degree (Mathematics, Physics, CS, Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent)
Hands-on experience with LLM-based workflows such as RAG, model chaining, dynamic prompting, PEFT/SFT, etc., using LangChain or similar frameworks
Proficiency with prompting techniques and understanding trade-offs between prompting and fine-tuning
Experience fine-tuning embedding models and tuning vector databases for semantic search and retrieval
Strong understanding of fundamental concepts: Transformers, Self-Attention, and LLM theory
Experience in establishing guardrails, bias detection, and mitigation processes for AI systems
