Responsibilities

Act as the primary connection between the Business Unit (BU) and Global Supply/Operations, ensuring alignment on both short-term tactical needs and long-term strategic plans
Provide guidance and drive operational alignment with BU and related functional organizations through active participation in supervisory boards
Engage in strategic planning for capacity, manufacturing development, technology investments, footprint optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead risk management within the stage gate process (Process of Commercialization and Management of Change), ensuring accountability and representing supply/ops in reviews
Align and prioritize support for new product launches, cost optimization, supply reliability, inventory management, and quality improvements
Communicate BU vision and priorities to the supply organization and vice versa, fostering transparency and collaboration
Sponsor portfolio development initiatives, including product rationalization, cost gains, capacity and technology assessments, and contract manufacturing solutions
Enable effective implementation of cross-functional projects, providing active sponsorship and troubleshooting production and supply issues
Mentor and coach team members across operations and other functions to build organizational capabilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Engineering; MBA or equivalent business experience preferred
Minimum 10 years of industrial process engineering/manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong business acumen and strategic mindset with proven ability to influence across functions and geographies
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and end-to-end operational processes
Demonstrated ability to build effective networks and partnerships internally and externally
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences and cultural environments
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred

Experience with biotechnology products, technologies, and operations
Proven track record in portfolio management and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong ability to leverage market insights and customer engagement for competitive advantage
