Electrical Engineer

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support their Global process development and machine building team by designing, implementing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and automation technologies.

Responsibilities
Design and implement electrical and control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes
Troubleshoot and repair issues with PLCs, motor controls, HMIs, robotics and other electrical components
Provide support for new equipment installations and upgrades
Maintain and update electrical schematics, documentation, and BOMs
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and electrical codes (CE, OSHA)
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams on preventative maintenance strategies
Lead root cause investigations for equipment and process failures
Assist with the development of energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
Interface with suppliers, contractors, and equipment vendors
Qualification
Required
Design and implement electrical and control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes

Interface with suppliers, contractors, and equipment vendors
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including on and around machinery and production lines
Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 20 kg occasionally
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders or stairs as needed
Comfortable working in varying temperatures, noise levels, and confined spaces when troubleshooting or performing inspections
Ability to use hand tools and electrical testing equipment
Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection when required
Plant floor and office environment
May require occasional evening or weekend work to support equipment installation or emergency troubleshooting
Travel would be required to support technology implementations
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
7+ years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (automotive experience is a plus)
Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley), Advanced motion control, HMI design, and control system integration
Familiar with EPLAN, ladder logic, and safety circuit design
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
