Network Support Analyst - Enterprise Network Operations*

NEOGOV is a part of the San Bernardino County's Innovation and Technology Department, which is responsible for managing and safeguarding the county’s critical systems and infrastructure. The Network Support Analyst will support countywide Area Networks and Local Area Networks, configure and install networking hardware, and troubleshoot performance and security issues.

Responsibilities

Resolving TCP IP, and subnetting issues
Deploying network solutions
Assisting in evaluating and testing new technologies
Traffic monitoring, capacity planning, and use of management tools
Assisting other IT groups with application troubleshooting and providing recommendations for improvement of application network operation
Deploying and maintaining enterprise level wireless network equipment

Required

Two (2) years of work experience, within the last five (5) years, working with or troubleshooting enterprise class networks, which includes experience with configuring switches and/or routers
Must include experience in at least two of the following system technologies: Network Architecture (Ethernet Circuits, Local Area Networks, etc), Wireless Network Platforms (Wireless Access Points, etc), Network Router and Switch Platforms (Cisco Catalyst, ISR, Nexus, etc), Routing Protocols (Static, EIGRP, etc)
Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed, post high-school coursework from an accredited university or technical school in computer science, or a closely related field. A list of coursework must be submitted with the application
One (1) additional year of qualifying work experience may substitute for the education requirement

Preferred

Experience configuring and installing Cisco and Aruba Equipment
Ability to analyze complex network systems to troubleshoot problems and make improvements
Work well in a collaborative team environment
Be able to work on multiple projects and assignment at the same time in an organized manner
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND1) certification
Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking certification
