Mechanical Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

Execute turbomachinery drivetrain alignment calculations in support of customer project execution
Be introduced to packaging structural analysis using classical calculation methods as well as software like RISA-3D and ANSYS
Specialize in areas of two or more mechanical analysis disciplines as the designated subject matter expert
Work cross functionally with engineers throughout the business to adequately define project details and execute tasks as required

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering field
0-3 years of engineering experience
Experience using CAD software (Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim)
Strong ability in Microsoft program suite including Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with Excel Macros (VBA), Python, MATLAB or any similar programming language
Strong fundamental mechanical design understanding

Preferred

Knowledge of Turbomachinery system applications, design, and operations
Experience with analysis tools such as ANSYS, RISA-3D, and Space Claim
Basic understanding of vibration analysis
Personal skills including: the ability to work well with others and to lead smaller development efforts. Strong self-initiation, a positive attitude, a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and ability to clearly communicate ideas
