Chief Operating Officer (COO)

ViVOtech is dedicated to serving children and families in crisis, providing programs that encourage healing and restoration. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee organizational operations, ensuring program excellence and translating strategy into effective execution.

Responsibilities

Serve as a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to organizational strategy, decision-making, and problem-solving
Oversee day-to-day operations across programs and departments to ensure efficiency, consistency, and alignment with mission and values
Develop, implement, and refine operational policies, procedures, and systems to support organizational growth and sustainability
Lead and support strategic planning efforts, translating strategic goals into operational plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes
Monitor progress toward strategic objectives and adjust operational strategies as needed to ensure success
Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and long-term operational priorities
Establish and oversee data monitoring systems to track program performance, operational efficiency, and contractual outcomes
Use data and dashboards to inform decision-making, continuous improvement, and resource allocation
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to leadership, funders, and other stakeholders as required
Provide executive oversight of program development, implementation, and expansion in alignment with community needs and organizational strategy
Collaborate with program leaders to ensure services are effective, compliant, and financially sustainable
Oversee operational performance related to grants and contracts, ensuring outcomes, deliverables, and performance measures are met or exceeded
Partner with finance and program leadership to align operations with budgetary and contractual requirements
Support funder and stakeholder relationships through strong operational performance and transparency
Grow and develop leaders at all levels through coaching, mentoring, and professional development
Build strong management systems that promote accountability, collaboration, and staff engagement
Champion innovation in operations, programs, and service delivery models
Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions that increase efficiency and effectiveness
Encourage creative problem-solving and adaptive thinking across the organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; master's degree preferred
Clinical License preferred (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
Applicant must have nonprofit high-level leadership experience
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or human services organization
Demonstrated experience overseeing complex operations, multiple programs, and cross-functional teams
Proven success in strategic planning, operational execution, and performance management
Ability to maintain a wide range of internal and external relationships
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a group/team setting and show respect to others
Ability to work at a high level of autonomy, and exhibit sound decision-making skills and critical thinking
Proven problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
Skilled in actively listening to concerns, providing a safe space for individuals to express themselves without judgment or blame
Position requires employee to work with computers daily
Ability to travel in multi-county areas frequently
Ability to lift 25 pounds, bend, stand or sit for extended periods of time

Preferred

Preferred knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed principles and practices, including the importance of creating a safe environment, fostering trust, promoting collaboration, and empowering individuals
