Responsibilities
Providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams, resolving system-related incidents and service requests
Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers (Unix/Linux), workstations, networks, and related IT infrastructure
Monitoring system performance and network traffic to ensure optimal functioning, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues
Implementing upgrades and adjustments to system components and networked systems
Deploying and managing virtual server and desktop infrastructure
Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls within systems like Active Directory
Administering technical instruction and cross-training to support personnel
Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies, and performing regular data backups
Ensure the security posture of the system
Qualification
Required
Six (6) years of professional experience in Unix and/or Linux system administration of networks and software systems
Experience in system backup and recovery; basic software management; security management and library management; installation and configuration of hardware; operational systems and COTS software; operating computer systems in different operating environments; and sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software/network trouble shooting and resource allocation
Qualified experience in different network protocols including TCP/IP and major network security tools such as: firewalls, knowledge of computing and networking vulnerabilities, attach methods and latest detection methods
Per DoD Directive 8570.01-M or successor, this position requires IAT Level 2 or higher and requires this position to be designated as an IT Level 1
Bachelors Degree in IT Discipline
