Responsibilities

Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care following the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Provide evidence-based care while respecting patient values, cultures, and care preferences

Support patient and family education to ensure understanding of treatment plans

Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and peers to promote a positive and safe care environment

Participate in performance improvement, quality initiatives, and shared governance activities

Maintain clinical competency and participate in ongoing education and professional development

Mentor, guide, and support fellow nurses and team members

Apply evidence-based practices and contribute to decisions regarding clinical tools and care processes

Manage multiple priorities effectively, triage clinical situations, and respond to emergencies appropriately

Ensure proper resource utilization, accurate documentation, and compliance with clinical standards and protocols

Qualification

Active RN LicenseBasic Life Support CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life SupportBachelor of Science in NursingMed Surg experienceElectronic charting experienceClinical judgmentCompassionate careComputer proficiencyEHR systemsCritical thinkingCommunication skillsTime managementOrganizational skillsTeamwork

Required

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Active RN License (Single-State or Multi-State Compact)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience

Experience with electronic charting/data entry

Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to remain calm and function effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care

Proficiency with basic computer applications and documentation tools

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

National certification in Med Surg or related specialty

Familiarity with Epic or similar EHR systems
