Manager Accounts Payable
KNAPP North America is a global company specializing in automated solutions for logistics and supply chain management. The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the accounts payable staff and processes, ensuring timely payments, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to financial reporting and internal controls.

Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable processes and functions in a professional and knowledgeable manner
Daily management of accounts payable staff to include training, assigning, scheduling, proactive & reactive coaching, and implementing corrective action where necessary
Meet accounts payable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans, ensuring productivity & quality, resolving problems, and identifying system & process improvements
Ensure timely payment of invoices based on vendor contract terms
Verify invoice coding & transactions, schedule disbursements and obtain authorization of payments
Reconcile vendor statements; research and correct discrepancies
Maintain vendor and contract files for payment reference; to include ensuring possession of W-9, Foreign Supplier Form, and W-8, current banking information, and contact information for each vendor
Assist Director and Manager of Finance and Accounting with setting internal controls around the accounts payable process
Provide financial reporting and metrics around status of AP aging, processing data, cash flow projections for operating, overhead and capital expenses
Responsible for 1099 reporting and vendor setup requirements
Work with general accounting team on accounts payable related balance sheet reconciliations
Work with general accounting team to create monthly & annual accrual journal entries
Complete reclassing journal entries when necessary
Assist with Sales Tax, Property Tax and pulling data for Corporate Income Tax related to vendor invoices and payments
Assist with month end closing and annual audits
Work on special projects as requested
Qualification
Required
7+ years related experience and/or training
2+ years supervisory experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred
Experience with Oracle/SAP and sales tax preferred
Experience and competency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail with impeccable follow through; ability to meet critical deadlines
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Quick learner, analytical, deductive reasoning, detail and quality oriented
Authorization to work in the U.S
Additional hours or overtime, if required by work
Professional office etiquette is required at all times
Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, squatting, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching with arms extended, reading, writing and typing
Preferred
2+ years supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Experience with Oracle/SAP and sales tax
