Summit Human Capital is seeking a 100% Remote Senior Data Engineer to join a fully virtual team. In this role, you’ll design and build scalable data solutions for a leading financial client, collaborating with some of the top engineers in the industry.

Responsibilities

Manage portions of the data solution and work collaboratively with the team to create optimized data architectures and pipelines

Design data architecture and create technical specifications based on foundational knowledge of industry best practices

Implement and integrate data solutions based on architecture designs and technical specifications

Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and establish an implementation plan for the data development team

Recommend enhancements to data pipelines, data management processes, and suggest new ways to solve problems that arise from these processes

Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines

Automate data ingestion and transformation workflows

Qualification

Required

Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing

Experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs

Experience with relational databases such as SQL or Oracle

Strong understanding of API development and integration, including authentication and documentation

Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT)

Solid knowledge of data warehouses (on prem)

Familiarity with best practices in data modeling, performance optimization, and workflow automation

Preferred

Familiarity with the electrical utilities industry and related data systems

Experience working within a DataMesh
