ProScan Imaging is seeking a full-time Healthcare Services Coordinator for their Columbus, OH locations. The role involves providing scheduling support for medical imaging by answering incoming calls and ensuring accurate appointment scheduling and registration.

Responsibilities

Answer patient calls efficiently ensuring accurate registration, appointment scheduling, safety screening

Discuss Insurance benefits, as well as patient’s financial responsibilities

Pleasant and accurate response to patient’s questions and needs by editing, canceling or re-scheduling appointments

Identify and escalate priority issues to the appropriate manager(s)

Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

Excellent customer service skills and attitude

Ability to work under extreme pressure in a fast-paced Call Center

Knowledge of medical terminology

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Computer, telephone, fax machine utilization

Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations

Requires the ability to read written communication

Employee must be able to write legibly as well as possess eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to perform typing functions and operate appropriate equipment

Ability to communicate effectively with all ages of patients, families and/or significant others, physicians, co-workers, third-party payors and others requiring appropriate information as it pertains to the services provided by ProScan and the Central Billing Department

Must be able to communicate on a one-to-one basis using appropriate grammar, vocabulary and word usage

Requires clear speech and auditory acuity

Moderate physical demands due to prolonged sitting

Some bending and stretching required

Able to move independently

Must be able to move objects and boxes of supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds
