Responsibilities
Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation
Analyze, review, and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts such as Receivable, Prepaid, and Accrual accounts
Prepare and post correcting journal entries as needed
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, including recording asset additions and disposals
Reconcile fixed asset ledger to general ledger balances
Ensure compliance with asset capitalization policies and guidelines
Investigate and resolve variances or unusual account activity
Provide documentation and support for audits and internal reporting
Perform additional tasks as needed to support the accounting department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with various business units
Preferred
Experience in fixed asset accounting is a plus
Accounting experience in an educational setting is a plus
