Participant Coordinator

LA Family Housing is a leading non-profit agency in Homeless Services and Real Estate Development, dedicated to ending homelessness. The Participant Coordinator is responsible for completing intake at program entry, providing support and advocacy through crisis intervention, and performing clerical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Completing intake at program entry to ensure all participant documentation has been retrieved and program standards have been explained
Providing support and advocacy through crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and linkage to social service resources
Providing general front desk support and coverage
Performing clerical and administrative duties such as answering phones, managing sign in sheets and generating incident reports
Assisting with daily living needs and monitoring daily activity to ensure the cleanliness of the facility and safety of both staff and participants

Ability to provide crisis interventions
Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Zoom, and web-based scheduling software
Proficient in written and oral communication
Show strong leadership abilities, team and independent work skills
Good organizational skills, and ability to follow through from beginning to end on tasks and projects
Must be able to work a flexible schedule at multiple sites including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Maintain and execute confidential information according to HIPAA standards
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
Ability to pass post-offer Tuberculosis (TB) clearances

Preferred

Advocacy and case management skills preferred
Experience in dealing with substance abuse, mental health, and crisis intervention desired
Bilingual: Spanish/English a plus
