Perform preventive maintenance inspections on various power units and trailers
Move tractor/trailer combination within the yard
Assist in light duty mechanical repairs
Inspect and repair tires as needed
Perform road service calls
Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Qualification
Required
Previous exposure to heavy duty truck servicing is helpful
Essential job knowledge of truck/trailer components and nomenclature
Must be able to perform to established time standards for commonly performed repairs
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, which includes reading and writing legibly
Must have a valid California driver's license and driving record must conform to Foster Farms guidelines
Must have the ability to move tractor/trailer combinations
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
Must be able to progress to a higher tech level
Must be able to work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to continuously be on foot throughout the shift
Must be able to climb in and out of trucks continually throughout the shift
Must be able to bend over and squat
Must adhere to Foster Farms and State Environmental Regulations
Must be able to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed
Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
