Perform structure related design for transportation projects

Assigns tasks to and coordinates with entry-level engineers, technicians or administrative staff

Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements

Required

BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferred)

5 to 10 years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission

Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required (PE preferred)

Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)

Proficiency in MS Office software

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A desire to work in a team environment

Proficient in the use of PennDOT's structural design software and other industry-standard structural software

Experience with structure related design for transportation projects including: Bridges, Retaining Walls, Culverts, Sign Structures, Contract Plans, Engineer's Estimates, Construction Specifications, Shop Drawing Review

Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required
