Accounting Technician
The N.C. Department of Information Technology is dedicated to safeguarding the lives and property of North Carolina residents through its public safety initiatives. They are seeking an Accounting Technician II to ensure fiscal accountability for funds, manage cash reporting, and oversee compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities
Ensure fiscal accountability for funds awarded to the agency from various sources
Interpret and apply federal regulations, cash management and reporting expenditures
Interpret, audit and monitor Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
Enter data into the database to generate cost reports
Ensure that all department financial resources and funds are received, disbursed, recorded, and accounted for in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of accounting experience
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in accounting work
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Experience with the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS) OR Experience using another electronic accounting system(s)
Excel experience
Experience with reconciling financial data
Experience with assisting, interpreting, and/or analyzing accounting data in various aspects of grants
