The role involves collaborating with team members to implement and investigate deep learning models for medical imaging, image-based diagnosis, and patient management.

Responsibilities

Extracts data on protocol patients from electronic and paper hospital records, outpatient charts and private physician office records in order to complete data collection required by specific protocols. Enters data into computerized system. (essential)

Validates data entry and comparison of data obtained electronically and from medical record review. (essential)

Assists investigator with correspondence with IRB. (essential)

Required

High School diploma or GED required

0-1 years related work experience required

Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access

Preferred

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field

Strong programming proficiency in Python; experience with SQL and database management systems preferred

Experience working with medical or biomedical datasets; experience with imaging data formats (DICOM, NIfTI) is a plus

Exposure to cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS S3/EC2, Azure, GCP, or institutional HPC clusters) is desirable

Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail and data integrity

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple parallel workflows

Commitment to researching best practices and maintaining compliance with patient privacy and research data security requirements
