Responsibilities

Recruiting faculty with demonstrated excellence in their field who embrace the instructional values of access, sound pedagogy, creativity, and innovation
Demonstrating sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities
Working effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in an environment that promotes innovation, teaching, learning and service to diverse student population
Effectively working with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, academic and vocational goals
Developing curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities
Participating in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges and universities
Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
Maintaining subject matter currency
Assessing student, program, and institutional learning outcomes
Adopting new technologies that support student success

Required

Master's in computer science or computer engineering
OR - Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering
OR - Bachelor's in engineering AND Master's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration
OR - Bachelor's in mathematics AND Master's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration
OR - Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND Master's degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems
OR - The equivalent
A demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities
Knowledge of computers and willingness to adopt new technologies that support student success
Knowledge and commitment to the California Community College mission
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in an environment that promotes innovation, teaching, learning and service to diverse student population
Ability to effectively work with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, academic and vocational goals
Ability to develop curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities
Ability to participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges and universities
