Closets By Design is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to lead and develop their in-home sales team. The role involves overseeing sales managers, analyzing sales metrics, and maintaining client relationships to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

Lead Sales Managers company-wide to achieve sales targets

Create, review and analyze sales reports, metrics and forecasts

Maintain, enhance and participate in sales training programs for new and existing Designers/salespeople

Monitor sales performance and hold Managers and their salespeople accountable for results while still maintaining a positive work environment

Evaluate performance metrics and suggest improvements for the Sales Managers and their people as needed

Maintain healthy working relationships with clients and business partners

Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in commercial accounts

Aid in the negotiation and help to close agreements with clients, as needed

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts

Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs

Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

Continue to develop and implement effective sales and sales management strategies

Use market data, statistics, and trends to establish sales goals with the Sales Managers

Manage sales department budget

Motivate, recognize and reward top sales producers creating an environment of recognition

Create presentations for meetings, business partners, corporate executives

Develop and implement sales procedures and policies

Review marketing inadequacies and adjust plans

Network with potential business partners and clients

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, Business Administration, Marketing or a similar field; advanced degree preferred

In-Home home improvement sales background

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a sales management position directing and managing Sales Managers, preferably as a Sales Director or National Sales Manager

Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Google Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of market trends and behaviors

Experience managing an effective, high-performance sales team

Knowledge of CRM software and other sales management software

Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics

Excellent negotiation skills

Strong team management skills

Strong critical and analytical thinking

Assertive but fair

Works well under pressure
