Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment within the educational location
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
Monitor access points and observe for any unusual activity, reporting findings as required by site procedures
Document and report all security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs according to established protocols
Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns
Assist with crowd management during campus events and help direct individuals as needed
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Access control or badge experience is preferred
CPR certification is preferred
A guard card or license is preferred
