SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

They are seeking a motivated Social Media Assistant to join their Communications team, responsible for cultivating community partnerships and creating engaging content to communicate their mission and values to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and edit content that highlights patient and staff experiences
Create newsletters, social media posts, and written materials, and assist with managing the editorial calendar
Help produce and distribute internal updates
Manage and update content on the health center’s website and other digital platforms
Act as a key contact for community partners and advocacy groups, gathering materials and tracking public presence opportunities (e.g., Pride events, health fairs)
Track and analyze the performance of content and communication initiatives, utilizing KPIs and audience feedback to refine strategies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Creative Writing, Marketing, or related fields
1-2 years of experience in communications, writing, or content development, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct interviews and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in digital communications, including website content management systems and email platforms
Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and approaches to storytelling and content creation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, WordPress and working knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Canva is a plus
Knowledge or experience in healthcare, particularly sexual health, health education, as well as LGBTQ+ and HIV related issues is encouraged
Experience serving diverse populations preferred
